It’s time to say goodbye to so many things. Things that brought comfort also brought pain. Say goodbye to the need for comfort.
Say goodbye to all of the things that made you angry. Say goodbye to getting angry.
Say goodbye to all of the things that made you think you are special. Say goodbye to the need to be special.
Say goodbye to the need to be great and esteemed above others.
Inside of you is a great chasm of emptiness that you should be filling with Love, not hate or fear.
Books can only take you so far. Mostly, they act as comforts and means of making you feel like you could yet be special and great. All of the knowledge and experiences described in all of the books of the world will not add up to a fraction of the goodness and Love that is God.
Don’t stop reading books, but do stop expecting that they will do more than provide temporary escapes and brief insights.
There isn’t a magic book or place you can go to that will transform you. Certainly, no book can do anything for you if your expectation is to sit back and passively let someone or something transform you.
People can transform you. People are hard.
You can’t seem to conjure up memories of people without including all of the bad stuff.
