No more lusting after things.

No more lusting after things. My heart should be focused on God. My love should be extended to family, pets, friends, neighbors, extended family, church community, extended community, people everywhere who are without hope and whose hearts are full of pain.

The place to find Jesus isn’t inside some warm bubble of euphoria that is mostly my own creation, but inside the moments of heartbreak, heartache, and stories of people whose lives have been torn apart by death and violence. One is an attempt to create a bubble of heaven on earth, a bubble that will surely burst within the next few days. The other is an attempt to reach through whatever passes for the ether or the dimension beyond this one with projected heart and hands to those who feel like their hearts have been irreparably shattered and their hands have been chopped off or permanently tied behind their backs.
